As a member of the law enforcement community, Greg Seeley has been helping to keep residents of Greene County safe more than two decades. Since joining the Sheriff’s department 22 years ago, he has proudly risen through the ranks as deputy and sergeant to his current position of lieutenant.

Greg’s “lead by example” ideology has merited him the respect and admiration of fellow members of the sheriff’s department, as well as police officers across the region. In addition to the unanimous endorsement of sheriff’s deputies, Greg has gained the support of numerous local law enforcement agencies and two well respected former sheriffs.

Seeking his first term as sheriff, Greg is committed to delivering his best efforts to serve and protect the citizens; striving everyday to make Greene County an even better place to live, work and play.

Greg promises to:

• Be a “hands on sheriff,” who is on the job and available to all residents of Greene County.
• Work cooperatively with a law enforcement agencies and the District Attorney to supply citizens with the superior service and protection they deserve.
• Continue providing goal-oriented leadership, centered on accountability for himself, his deputies and the entire Sheriff’s Department.
• Maintain a modern, professional and well-trained deputy and correctional force.
• Utilize the most innovative technologies available to carry the Sheriff’s Department into the next decade and prepare for the challenges of the future.
• Take advantage of state and federal grant opportunities, and demonstrate responsible fiscal management.
• Serve as a leader who sets an example of hard work, dedication and reliability.

A lifelong area resident, Greg currently lives in Greenville with his wife, Sandy, and son, Matthew. Greg served his community for eight years as a member of the Greenville Town Board.
